RESUMO

La unión de la teoría y la práctica es crucial para una enseñanza equitativa, además se requiere de estrategias flexibles y efectivas para asegurar la inclusión. El objetivo de este artículo fue proponer estrategias para la participación de estudiantes con discapacidad en las clases de Educación Física. Se revisaron 22 trabajos centrados en estrategias de inclusión para Educación Física en las bases de datos SciELO, Google Académico y Dialnet. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se procedió a la sistematización y se diseñaron estrategias para mejorar la experiencia de aprendizaje y promover la igualdad, entre ellas las que se adaptan al currículo y actividades; las de formación y sensibilización docente; y, las de cultura inclusiva y ambiente positivo. Se concluye que la inclusión educativa es un proceso complejo que demanda cambios en actitudes, metodologías y políticas educativas.


O casamento entre teoria e prática é crucial para o ensino equitativo, e são necessárias estratégias flexíveis e eficazes para garantir a inclusão. O objetivo deste artigo foi propor estratégias para a participação de alunos com deficiência nas aulas de educação física. Vinte e dois artigos com foco em estratégias de inclusão para a Educação Física foram revisados nas bases de dados SciELO, Google Scholar e Dialnet. Com base nos resultados obtidos, foram sistematizadas e elaboradas estratégias para melhorar a experiência de aprendizagem e promover a igualdade, incluindo aquelas adaptadas ao currículo e às atividades; treinamento e conscientização dos professores; e cultura inclusiva e ambiente positivo. Conclui-se que a inclusão educacional é um processo complexo que exige mudanças de atitudes, metodologias e políticas educacionais.


The union of theory and practice is crucial for equitable teaching, and flexible and effective strategies are required to ensure inclusion. The objective of this article was to propose strategies for the participation of students with disabilities in Physical Education classes. Twenty-two works focused on inclusion strategies for Physical Education were reviewed in the SciELO, Google Academic and Dialnet databases. Based on the results obtained, the systematization was carried out and strategies were designed to improve the learning experience and promote equality, including those that adapt to the curriculum and activities; those of teacher training and awareness; and, those with an inclusive culture and positive environment. It is concluded that educational inclusion is a complex process that demands changes in attitudes, methodologies and educational policies.

Conservationists increasingly position conservation that is mutually beneficial to people and biodiversity on the promise of empowerment of people through participatory discourse, metrics, processes, and outcomes. Empowerment represents multidimensional concepts and theories that permeate the interlinking levels of power, from the psychological to the political, and social scales in which conservation operates. The multifaceted nature of empowerment makes it challenging to understand, pursue, and evaluate as a central philosophical commitment and goal-oriented practice in conservation. Moreover, definitional and methodological uncertainty may disempower interested and affected groups because they can foster conceptual assumptions that reinforce institutionalized barriers to systemic changes. Despite these complexities, there are no targeted reviews of empowerment in conservation. We conducted a scoping review of the conservation literature to synthesize the meanings and uses of empowerment in the field. We reviewed 121 of the most cited conservation articles that invoked or assessed empowerment from 1992 to 2017 to document geographic, conceptual, and methodological trends in the scales and theories of empowerment deployed by conservationists. Research claiming or assessing empowerment through conservation often focused on communities in the Global South. Most studies relied on qualitative and mixed methods (78%) collected largely from male or non-Indigenous participants. Few studies (30%) defined the 20 types of empowerment they referenced. Fewer studies (3%) applied empowerment theories in their work. Our findings show that empowerment discourse of local and Indigenous communities permeates the discourse of people-centered conservation. Yet, overreliance on empowerment's rhetorical promise and minimal engagement with theory (e.g., postcolonial theory) risks disempowering people by obscuring empowerment's foundational value to conservation and communities and oversimplifying the complex realities of people-centered conservation. Lasting change could come from more meaningful engagement with empowerment, including coproducing definitions and measures with and for disempowered social groups to tackle widespread power disparities in conservation today.


El alcance del empoderamiento para la conservación y las comunidades Resumen Con frecuencia los conservacionistas posicionan a la conservación como benéfica para las personas y la biodiversidad mediante discursos, medidas, procesos y resultados participativos que prometen el empoderamiento de la gente. El empoderamiento representa conceptos y teorías multidimensionales que permean los niveles interconectados de poder, desde el psicológico al político, y las escalas sociales en las que opera la conservación. La naturaleza multifacética del empoderamiento complica que se entienda, se dé seguimiento y se evalúe como un compromiso filosófico central y una práctica orientada hacia las metas dentro de la conservación. Además, la incertidumbre metodológica y de definición pueden restar autoridad a los grupos interesados o afectados pues pueden promover suposiciones conceptuales que refuerzan las barreras institucionales de los cambios sistémicos. A pesar de estas complejidades, no existen revisiones focalizadas del empoderamiento en la conservación. Realizamos una revisión de alcance de la literatura de conservación para sintetizar los significados y usos de la palabra empoderamiento en este campo. Revisamos 121 de los artículos sobre conservación más citados que invocaron o evaluaron el empoderamiento entre 1992 y 2017 para documentar las tendencias geográficas, conceptuales y metodológicas en las escalas y teorías del empoderamiento usadas por los conservacionistas. La mayoría de los artículos que afirmaban o evaluaban el empoderamiento por medio de la conservación se enfocaron en comunidades del Sur Global. La mayoría de los estudios dependieron de métodos cualitativos y mixtos (78%) tomados principalmente de participantes masculinos o no indígenas. Pocos estudios (30%) definieron los 20 tipos de empoderamiento que referenciaron. Todavía menos estudios (3%) aplicaron las teorías de empoderamiento a su trabajo. Nuestros descubrimientos muestran que el discurso de empoderamiento de las comunidades locales e indígenas permea el discurso de la conservación centrada en la gente. Sin embargo, depender en exceso de la promesa retórica del empoderamiento e involucrarse en lo mínimo con la teoría (p. ej.: teoría postcolonial) arriesga que la gente se pierda autoridad al oscurecer el valor fundamental que tiene el empoderamiento para la conservación y las comunidades y simplificar sobremanera las realidades complejas de la conservación centrada en las personas. El cambio duradero podría venir de involucrarse de forma más significativa con el empoderamiento, lo que incluye la coproducción de definiciones y medidas con y para los grupos sociales no empoderados para resolver la disparidad de poder que existe hoy en día en la conservación.

This article is a reflection from a person with lived experience of leprosy, who has been working as a global advocate and champion for the rights of persons affected by neglected tropical diseases for the last decade. Synthesising learning from the collection of pieces included within this special supplement that are written from the perspective of people affected by neglected tropical diseases, I argue that it is time to centre the lived experiences of people affected by neglected tropical diseases. These are diseases of neglected people, and it is now time to let them talk while we listen.

Introducción. En este artículo se quiere plasmar la grata experiencia de hacer un diagnóstico de salud en la población de Santpedor. El diagnóstico se llevó a cabo con acción participativa desde el primer momento y durante todo el proceso. Se hizo con un grupo motor, donde solo dos de las 15 personas que lo representan eran agentes sanitarios. Estos agentes legitimaron el proceso comunitario, coordinaron el grupo motor y lo guiaron. Sin embargo, eran una pieza más del puzle comunitario, siendo los otros 13 agentes comunitarios no sanitarios los auténticos protagonistas al posibilitar llegar a la población y completar el puzle comunitario. Objetivo. Realizar el diagnóstico de salud de Santpedor con acción participativa. Métodos. Se utilizó una metodología mixta secuencial y explicativa, con una parte cuantitativa (descriptivo transversal) y una parte cualitativa (acción participativa). En este artículo se explica la metodología que se utilizó para hacer el diagnóstico de salud de Santpedor y se describen las estrategias participativas para llegar a la población y favorecer la pertinencia en el proceso comunitario, así como las técnicas empleadas para la detección de las necesidades y su priorización. Las técnicas cualitativas utilizadas para la detección de los activos fueron el mapping party y la marcha de activos. Las técnicas empleadas para identificar las necesidades fueron la encuesta y las entrevistas grupales (grupos focales, grupo nominal y entrevistas individuales). Resultados. Se identificaron 604 activos de Santpedor. En el análisis cuantitativo se observó que Santpedor presentaba un gran relevo generacional y un tejido económico diversificado. En el análisis cualitativo, se logró una gran cantidad de información con la que, una vez analizada y trabajada con todo el grupo motor, se confeccionó un listado con 17 necesidades que había que cubrir para mejorar la salud de la población. ... Introduction. In this paper we seek to capture the pleasant experience in making a health diagnosis in the Santpedor population. The diagnosis was made with participation from the very first moment and during the entire process. It was made with a driving group where only two of the 15 people representing it were health agents. These agents legitimized the community process, coordinated the driving group and guided it. However, they were just one more piece of the community puzzle, the other 13 non-health community agents being the real protagonists to reach the population and complete the community puzzle. Aim. To make a health diagnosis in Santpedor with the population taking part. Methods. A mixed explanatory sequential methodology was used. Comprised of a quantitative part (cross-sectional descriptive) and a qualitative part (participation). This paper explains the methodology used to made this. It reports the participation used to reach the population and favour relevance in the community process; as well as the techniques used to detect needs and their prioritization. The qualitative techniques used to detect assets were: mapping party, asset march. The techniques used to detect needs were by means of a survey ("bustiada") and group interviews (focus groups, nominal group and individual interviews). Results. A total of 604 Santpedor assets were identified. In the quantitative analysis, it was observed that Santpedor had a major generational change and a diversified economic fabric. In the qualitative analysis, a large amount of information was obtained which, once analyzed and worked on with the entire driving group, led to a list of 17 needs to improve the health of the population. These needs were prioritized by means of a simple vote, where a large citizen participation was attained with 754 votes from the citizens. The first need detected was "housing needs", followed by "public transportation needs", and "work needs". ... (AU)

La soledad es un factor social que afecta a personas de todas las edades, perjudicando su salud y aumentando la utilización de servicios sociosanitarios. Su abordaje requiere una perspectiva comunitaria integral, ya que es un sentimiento subjetivo con consecuencias complejas en la salud y en el bienestar. En una sociedad envejecida, la soledad se convierte en un problema de salud pública significativo, especialmente entre las personas mayores. Por ello, este estudio se centra en los servicios de ayuda en el hogar (Servicio de Axuda no Fogar, SAF) en Galicia y su papel en la lucha contra la soledad, con el objetivo de comprender este sentimiento entre las personas usuarias del SAF y recopilar sus opiniones para entender cómo abordarla y diseñar estrategias intersectoriales y participativas que permitan ayudar a disminuirla. Los resultados iniciales muestran que más del 50% de los usuarios del SAF se sienten solos. A través de la elaboración de un cuestionario propio y de mediciones utilizando la escala de soledad UCLA, el estudio destaca la importancia de la colaboración comunitaria y la necesidad de difundir los resultados para orientar intervenciones futuras. Se concluye que los SAF tienen un potencial significativo para mejorar el bienestar de los usuarios y abordar la soledad, un factor social determinante de la salud. (AU)


Loneliness is a social factor that impacts individuals of all ages, impairing their health and increasing the use of socio-health services. Tackling this requires a comprehensive community perspective, as it is a subjective feeling with complex consequences for health and well-being. In an aging society, loneliness becomes a significant public health issue, especially among the elderly. Therefore, this study focuses on Home Help Services (SAF) in Galicia and their role in responding to loneliness. The main aim is to understand this feeling among SAF users, gather their opinions on how to tackle this, and devise intersectoral and participatory strategies to reduce loneliness. Initial results reveal that over 50% of SAF users feel lonely. By means of a customized questionnaire and measurements using the UCLA Loneliness Scale, the study underscores the importance of community collaboration and the need to disseminate results to guide future interventions. It is concluded that SAF has significant potential to improve user well-being and tackle loneliness, a decisive social factor on health. (AU)

Objetivo. Proponer una intervención participativa comunitaria según las necesidades de salud percibida por las personas mayores del Programa de Salud Cardiovascular de un centro de salud familiar y comunitaria de una comuna de Santiago de Chile durante el período de la pandemia de la COVID-19. Métodos. Se utilizó una metodología participativa de la comunidad, la cual se desarrolló en dos fases: diagnóstico participativo comunitario y desarrollo de la propuesta participativa de una intervención en salud comunitaria. Resultados. Desde el diagnóstico participativo comunitario, los participantes eligieron el desarrollo de un programa educativo fundamentado en las necesidades de salud, además de la entrega de material educativo sobre estilos de vida saludable y recomendaciones para tener un buen control de sus enfermedades. Conclusión. Desde el diagnóstico y planificación participativa, es posible intervenir en pro de las necesidades de las personas, familias y comunidades y capacitarlas en el manejo de su propia salud. Aim. To propose a community participatory intervention according to the health needs perceived by elderly people in the Family and Community Health Centre Cardiovascular Health programme of a Santiago de Chile commune during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods. A community participatory methodology was used, which was developed over two phases: community participatory diagnosis and development of a participatory proposal for a community health intervention. Results. From the community participatory diagnosis, participants opted for development of an educational programme based on health needs, in addition to the delivery of educational material related to healthy lifestyles and recommendations for robust control of their diseases. Conclusion. From diagnosis and participatory planning, it is possible to intervene in favour of the needs of individuals, families and communities and train them in managing their own health. (AU)

Objetivo: Analizar la influencia de las instituciones en el funcionamiento de los consejos locales de salud. Diseño: Estudio cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio. Emplazamiento: Dos servicios de atención primaria de salud de un municipio del interior del estado de São Paulo, Brasil.Participantes: Veinticuatro miembros de los consejos locales de salud y 4 informantes clave. Método: Basado en el marco teórico y metodológico del análisis institucional. Los datos fueron producidos a través de 28 entrevistas individuales con preguntas semiestructuradas, observación, participación en las actividades de los consejos y registro en el diario de investigación. Los datos fueron organizados por el proceso de transcripción, transposición y reconstitución. Resultados: Las instituciones actúan en los territorios representados por actores sociales que ocupan cargos y funciones dentro de los servicios de atención primaria de salud, evidenciando la perpetuación de la jerarquización con valorización de los discursos de los profesionales y gestores en detrimento de los pacientes y predominio de reuniones burocratizadas. Los actores sociales reproducen los ideales del colectivo al que pertenecen en estos espacios. Conclusión: No siempre los equipos de gestión de salud reconocen las diferentes fuerzas que actúan en el territorio de salud, sin embargo, estas fuerzas interfieren en las actividades desarrolladas y en la atención de la salud. Los grupos actúan tanto en espacios formales a través de representantes oficiales que se reúnen y discuten temas en colegiados como en espacios informales y constituyen fuerzas en disputa en el territorio de salud.(AU)

Methods: Supported by the theoretical methodological framework of Institutional Analysis. Data were produced through 28 semi-structured interviews, observation and participation in the activities of the councils and recording in the research diary. Data were organized and analyzed by the process of transcription, transposition and reconstitution. Results: The institutions act in the territories represented by social actors who occupy positions and functions within the Primary Health Care services, evidencing the perpetuation of hierarchization with valorization of the speeches of professionals and managers to the detriment of patients and predominance of bureaucratized meetings. The social actors reproduce the ideals of the collective to which they belong in these spaces. Conclusions: The health management teams do not recognize the different forces that act in the health territory, however, these forces interfere in the activities performed and in health care. The groups act both in formal spaces through official representatives who meet and discuss issues in collegiate meetings and in informal spaces, and constitute forces in dispute in the health territory.(AU)

INTRODUCTION: Today, primary care professionals' (PCPs) perspectives on hospital quality are unknown when evaluating hospital quality priorities. The aims of the present study were to identify key healthcare quality attributes from PCPs' perspective, to validate an instrument that measures PCPs' experiences of healthcare quality multidimensionally and to define hospital quality priorities based on PCPs' experiences. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Focus groups with PCPs were conducted to identify quality attributes through a qualitative in-depth analysis. A multicentre study of 18 hospitals was used to quantitatively assess construct, discriminant and criterion validity of the FlaQuM-Quickscan, an instrument that measures 'Healthcare quality for patients and kin' (part 1) and 'Healthcare quality for professionals' (part 2). To set quality priorities, scores on quality domains were analyzed descriptively and between-hospital variation was examined by evaluating differences in hospitals' mean scores on the quality domains using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). RESULTS: Identified key attributes largely corresponded with Lachman's multidimensional quality model. Including 'Communication' as a new quality domain was recommended. The FlaQuM-Quickscan was completed by 550 PCPs. Confirmatory factor analyses showed reasonable to good fit, except for the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) in part 2. The 'Equity' domain scored the highest in parts 1 and 2. Domains 'Kin-centred care' and 'Accessibility and timeliness' scored the lowest in part 1 and 'Resilience' and 'Partnership and co-production' in part 2. Significant variation in hospitals' mean scores was observed for eleven domains in part 1 and sixteen domains in part 2. CONCLUSIONS: The results gained a better understanding of PCPs' perspective on quality. The FlaQuM-Quickscan is a valid instrument to measure PCPs' experiences of hospital quality. Identified priorities indicate that hospital management should focus on multifaceted quality strategies, including technical domains, person-and kin-centredness, core values and catalysts.

Introducción: En los últimos años ha habido un incremento de la participación de farmacias comunitarias en proyectos de investigación. El reclutamiento de pacientes juega un papel clave en el éxito de las investigaciones. Se han identificado barreras y facilitadores que promueven dicho reclutamiento por parte de los farmacéuticos, pero poco es sabido sobre la influencia de factores relacionados con los proyectos de investigación. El objetivo de este trabajo es observar la participación en diferentes investigaciones llevadas a cabo en farmacias comunitarias e identificar las variables propias de los estudios que puedan estar asociadas con la participación.Método: Se realizó un estudio multicéntrico experimental en 12 farmacias comunitarias que formaron parte de 4 proyectos de investigación. Se registró el número de pacientes que aceptaron/rechazaron participar. Se recogieron variables relacionadas con el estudio ofrecido y las farmacias. Se realizó un análisis bivariante mediante la prueba Chi-Cuadrado de Pearson y un análisis de los riesgos.Resultados: La participación total fue del 90,44 % (n=558). El tipo de estudio (OR=2,64; 95 %IC=1,47-4,75; trans-versal vs pragmático), el tipo de medida aplicada (OR=2,47; 95 %IC=1,43-4,36), la aplicación de zona de atención personalizada (ZAP) (OR=2,49; 95 %IC=1,44-4,39), y la solicitud de datos personales (OR=2,53; 95 %CI=1,47-4,42) mostraron asociación con la participación en los PI (p<0,05).Conclusiones: La participación por parte de los pacientes en proyectos de investigación es elevado y parece de-pender de factores propios del estudio aplicado. Introduction: Over the last years there has been an increase in community pharmacy participation in research projects. Patient recruitment plays a key role in the research project success. Pharmacists’ barriers and enablers of recruitment have been identified, but little is known about the influence of research project-related factors. The aim of this paper is to explore patient participation in different studies conducted in community pharmacies and to identify study-specific factors that may be associated with it.Method: An experimental multicenter study was performed in 12 community pharmacies participating in 4 research projects. The number of patients who accepted/refused to participate was recorded. Variables related to each of-fered study and the project were collected. A bivariate analysis using Pearson’s Chi-Square test and a risk analysis were performed.Results: Participation rate was 90.44 % (n=558). Study type (OR=2.64; 95 % CI=1.47-4.75; cross-sectional vs prag-matic), the type of measurement applied (OR=2.47; 95 % CI=1.43-4.36), the use of a personalized care area (PCA) (OR=2.49; 95 % CI=1.44-4.39), and personal data request (OR=2.53; 95 %CI=1.47-4.42) showed association with par-ticipation in the RP (p<0.05).Conclusions: Patient participation in research projects is high and appears to rely on study-specific factors. OBJETIVO: comprender los procesos críticos (PC) de determinación social de la obesidad, la diabetes y la hipertensión (ODH) en una comunidad nahua de México. METODOLOGÍA: estudio cualitativo de registros de un taller de fotovoz, donde las participantes fotografiaron su entorno y analizaron las causas y posibles soluciones a la ODH. Para analizar los PC de la ODH utilizamos como método la investigación narrativa y, como referente teórico, la epidemiología crítica. RESULTADOS: la ODH se reproduce social e históricamente a través de PC destructivos vinculados con las relaciones de producción global y de género. Estas determinan modos de vida deteriorantes que limitan la atención a la salud, comprometen la salud mental, producen contaminación y diferenciación de uso de espacios, y reducen oportunidades para alimentarse nutritivamente y realizar actividad física. Todo ello se expresa como ODH y problemas de salud mental. Los PC protectores ante estas expresiones incluyen la atención estatal, las oportunidades de trabajo, y la promoción de dispositivos culturales y comunitarios. CONCLUSIONES: nuestros resultados aportan a la discusión global sobre cómo las condiciones históricas de vida son parte de la determinación social de la ODH. Comprender los PC y sus expresiones locales puede orientarnos hacia la descolonización de la forma de pensar y hacer promoción de la salud.

OBJECTIVE: To describe how a sample of people working in community health promotion projects perceive and implement community engagement approaches. METHOD: Mixed qualitative-quantitative study. Data was collected through: semi-structured interviews with 10 people representing the projects, and workshops in which 53 people participated and responded to a questionnaire prepared ad hoc to identify levels of community engagement. Descriptive statistical analysis of the questionnaires and framework analysis of the interviews, observations and workshops recordings. RESULTS: Although the projects are described as highly participatory, community engagement appeared mainly in the form of attending events, with few examples of consultation or community involvement. CONCLUSIONS: This difference may be due to the lack of a culture of participation, both in individuals and institutions, and lack of training in community engagement. It is proposed to change the language from participation-attendance to using expressions such as consulting or involving people.

El objetivo es analizar la eficacia de los procesos de participación ciudadana en Colombia. Como metodología se optó por la investigación cualitativa, bajo el enfoque hermenéutico y como estrategia la revisión documental por medio de la cual se recuperaron diferentes documentos científicos que giraban alrededor de los temas de interés para aclarar las preguntas de investigación. Entre los resultados se encontró que, a pesar de que la Constitución Política de 1991 definió los parámetros para la participación, aún existe mucha apatía y desconocimiento sobre ellos y, finalmente, se concluyó que, entre los factores que impiden las buenas prácticas en el ejercicio de participación ciudadana, están las brechas digitales, el abstencionismo electoral, el desconocimiento de la población y la apatía de los gobernantes de integrar a la población en las decisiones del país.


This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of citizen participation processes in Colombia. As a methodology, qualitative research was chosen, under the hermeneutical approach, and as a strategy, the documentary review where different scientific documents that revolved around the topics of interest were recovered to clarify the research questions. Among the results, it was found that even though the Political Constitution of 1991 defined the parameters for participation, there is still a lot of apathy and ignorance about them. It was finally concluded that among the factors that prevent good practices in the exercise of citizen participation are the digital gaps, electoral abstentionism, ignorance of the population, and the apathy of the rulers to integrate the people in the country's decisions.


O objetivo é analisar a eficácia dos processos de participação cidadã na Colômbia. Como metodologia, optou-se pela pesquisa qualitativa, sob a abordagem hermenêutica e, como estratégia, a revisão documental onde foram recuperados diferentes documentos científicos que giravam em torno dos temas de interesse para esclarecer as questões de pesquisa. Entre os resultados, verificou-se que, apesar da Constituição Política de 1991 ter definido os parâmetros para a participação, ainda há muita apatia e desconhecimento sobre eles e, por fim, concluiu-se que dentre os fatores que impedem as boas práticas no exercício de participação cidadã, são as lacunas digitais, o abstencionismo eleitoral, o desconhecimento da população e a apatia dos governantes em integrar a população nas decisões do país.

Los Combinados Deportivos son instituciones de base del Sistema Deportivo Cubano. Su ubicación se corresponde con la demarcación territorial de los Consejos Populares. Como parte de su encargo social, deben contribuir a la calidad de vida de la población. El objetivo de este artículo consistió en diseñar una metodología que se sustente en una concepción teórica caracterizada por un enfoque transformador, para el perfeccionamiento de la dinámica participativa en la gestión del subsistema de Actividad Física Comunitaria (AFC) en el combinado deportivo. Su importancia radica en la aplicación de una metodología para perfeccionar la dinámica participativa en esta área, validada a partir de la experimentación en el combinado deportivo, como estructura básica del sistema deportivo del Instituto Nacional de Deportes, Educación Física y Recreación (Inder). Se emplearon métodos empíricos como: la revisión de documentos, recolección de datos, encuesta, entrevista, observación participante, taller de sensibilización y el preexperimento. Para su aplicación, se emplearon dos unidades de análisis: una destinada a evaluar el proceso de gestión con dos dimensiones y otra para evaluar la dinámica participativa con dos dimensiones, todas ellas con sus indicadores e instrumentos de medición. Los resultados obtenidos muestran fisuras e insuficiencias en la gestión de la dinámica participativa del subsistema de AFC, no obstante, la implementación de la metodología, aporta instrumentos diagnósticos para la labor de directivos y profesores, con vistas a evaluar la gestión de manera integral en el combinado. La fuerza técnica y la estructura de dirección del combinado consideran pertinentes los instrumentos que permiten diagnosticar la dinámica participativa en el subsistema de referencia, que develan las esencias de la participación comunitaria, las causas que limitan este proceso, sus resultados y los criterios relacionados con los temas, las formas y los involucrados en la participación comunitaria, en función de la gestión del combinado.

Como parte da sua responsabilidade social, devem contribuir para a qualidade de vida da população. O objetivo deste artigo foi desenhar uma metodologia baseada em uma concepção teórica caracterizada por uma abordagem transformadora, para a melhoria das dinâmicas participativas na gestão do subsistema de Atividade Física Comunitária (AFC) na equipe esportiva. Sua importância reside na aplicação de uma metodologia para aperfeiçoar a dinâmica participativa nesta área, validada a partir da experimentação na equipe esportiva, como estrutura básica do sistema esportivo do Instituto Nacional de Esporte, Educação Física e Recreação (Inder). Foram utilizados métodos empíricos como: revisão documental, coleta de dados, levantamento, entrevista, observação participante, oficina de sensibilização e pré-experimento. Para sua aplicação foram utilizadas duas unidades de análise: uma destinada a avaliar o processo de gestão com duas dimensões e outra para avaliar a dinâmica participativa com duas dimensões, todas elas com seus indicadores e instrumentos de medição. Os resultados obtidos mostram fissuras e insuficiências na gestão da dinâmica participativa do subsistema AFC, porém, a implementação da metodologia fornece instrumentos de diagnóstico para o trabalho de diretores e professores, com vistas a avaliar a gestão de forma abrangente no conjunto. A força técnica e a estrutura de gestão da equipa consideram relevantes os instrumentos que permitem diagnosticar a dinâmica participativa no subsistema de referência, que revelam as essências da participação comunitária, as causas que limitam este processo, os seus resultados e os critérios relativos aos temas, formas e dos envolvidos na participação comunitária, dependendo da gestão da equipe.


The Sports Complexes are base institutions of the Cuban Sports System. Its location corresponds to the territorial demarcation of the Popular Councils. As part of their social responsibility, they must contribute to the quality of life of the population. The objective of this article was to design a methodology that is based on a theoretical conception characterized by a transformative approach, for the improvement of the participatory dynamics in the management of the Community Physical Activity (AFC in Spanish) subsystem in the sports complexes. Its importance lies in the application of a methodology to improve the participatory dynamics in this area, validated from experimentation in the sports complex, as a basic structure of the sports system of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER). Empirical methods were used such as: document review, data collection, survey, interview, participant observation, awareness workshop and pre-experiment. For its application, two units of analysis were used: one intended to evaluate the management process with two dimensions and another to evaluate the participatory dynamics with two dimensions, all of them with their indicators and measurement instruments. The results obtained show fissures and insufficiencies in the management of the participatory dynamics of the AFC subsystem, however, the implementation of the methodology provides diagnostic instruments for the work of managers and teachers, with a view to evaluating the management in an integral way in the complex. The technical staff and the management structure of the sport complex consider the instruments are pertinent that allow diagnosing the participatory dynamics in the subsystem of reference, which reveal the essence of community participation, the causes that limit this process, its results and the criteria related to the results. themes, forms and those involved in community participation, depending on the management of the sport complex.

(analítico) A más de 30 años de la Convención de los Derechos del Niño y reconocido su derecho a participar, las investigaciones siguen siendo predominantemente sobre los niños/as y no con ellos/as. Este estudio busca avanzar hacia la incorporación de niños/as como productores de conocimientos en sus escuelas. Es un estudio cualitativo longitudinal donde 64 niños/as asumieron un rol de co-investigadores del compromiso escolar mediante talleres con una metodología de investigación-acción participativa, entrevistas y análisis que ellos/as realizaron. Se relevan distintas percepciones sobre los subtipos de compromiso escolar y factores contextuales asociados que enriquecen el análisis adulto y la importancia de complementar los datos cuantitativos en las escuelas con las voces de las infancias, en tanto agentes de cambio. Se concluye sobre cómo incluir su participación en investigación más significativamente.


(analytical) More than 30 years after the Convention on the Rights of the Child recognized their right to participate, research continues to be predominantly about children but not carried out with them. This study seeks to contribute to the incorporation of children as producers of knowledge in their schools. It is a longitudinal qualitative study in which 64 children assumed the role of co-researchers on the topic of school engagement. This was achieved through workshops that used a participatory action research methodology, interviews and analysis undertaken by the children themselves. The study identified different perceptions about the subtypes of school engagement and associated contextual factors that enrich adult analysis, as well as the importance of complementing quantitative data collected in schools with the voices of children, who in this process act as agents of change. The authors conclude the article with identifying how to achieve more meaningful child participation in research studies.

Este estudo busca caminhar para a incorporação das crianças como produtoras de conhecimento em suas escolas. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo longitudinal onde 64 crianças assumiram o papel de co-investigadoras do compromisso escolar através de oficinas com metodologia de pesquisaação participativa, entrevistas e análises que realizaram. Revelamse diferentes perceções sobre os subtipos de envolvimento escolar e fatores contextuais associados que enriquecem a análise dos adultos e a importância de complementar os dados quantitativos nas escolas com as vozes das crianças, enquanto agentes de mudança.

(analítico) Se presentan los resultados sobre cómo se comprende y se asume el bullying, en tanto problema escolar y social, desde la perspectiva infantil. Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa, hermenéutico-comprensiva, con grupos focales mediados por títeres o videos, producción gráfica y narración de historias. Los participantes fueron 626 estudiantes de 5 a 7 años. La comprensión transitó por elementos congruentes con la teoría, como exclusión, acoso verbal, afectación de pertenencias y una nueva tipología: falta de solidaridad. En cuanto a las experiencias, precisan las burlas, el acoso físico y el hurto, asociadas al contexto familiar o a ninguna, estas últimas por la confluencia del espacio escolar y la familia en un mismo lugar en tiempos de educación remota. En cuanto a la solución, está apela a figuras de autoridad, familiares, asumir actitudes reconciliadoras o al juego.


(analytical) The paper presents the results on how bullying, as scholar and social problem, is understood and assumed from the child's perspective. Therefore, a qualitative, hermeneutic-comprehensive research was carried out and focus groups were done by means of moppets and videos, graphic production, and storytelling. The participants were 626 students from 5 to 7 years old. The understanding went through elements consistent with the theory, such as exclusion, verbal harassment, affectation of be-longings and a new typology, lack of solidarity. Regarding the experiences, they specify teasing, physical harassment, theft, associated with the family context or none, the latter due to the confluence of the school space and the family in the same place in times of remote education. As for the solution, it is appealing to authority figures, relatives, assuming reconciliatory attitudes and playing.


(analítico) O artigo apresenta os resultados sobre como o bullying, como um problema social e escolar, é compreendido e assumido na perspectiva da criança. Para isso, realizou-se uma investigação qualitativa, hermenêutica-compreensiva e grupos focais mediados por fantoches ou vídeos, produção gráfica e contação de histórias; os participantes foram 626 alunos de 5 a 7 anos. O entendimento passou por elementos condizentes com a teoria, como exclusão, assédio verbal, afetação de pertences e uma nova tipologia, falta de solidariedade. Quanto às vivências, especificam provocações, assédios físicos, furtos, associados ao contexto familiar ou nenhum, este último devido à confluência do espaço escolar e da família no mesmo local em tempos de educação a distância. Resumo Enquadramento: Estudos sobre a participação social apontam algumas limitações na arquitetura participativa, razão pela qual a Organização Mundial da Saúde desenhou um modelo que enfatiza as dimensões constitutivas para aproximar a sociedade civil e os governos. Objetivos: O estudo buscou identificar os elementos que influenciam a participação à luz das dimensões propostas pela Organização Mundial da Saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa e transversal, que foi realizado por meio de análise documental, observação não participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas nos anos de 2020 e 2021 com os conselheiros do Conselho Municipal de Saúde de uma cidade brasileira do interior do Estado de São Paulo. Resultados: Foram observadas fragilidades nas arquiteturas institucionais do Conselho estudado, tais como o excesso de burocracia, falta de representatividade dos utilizadores, insegurança por parte dos conselheiros nos assuntos económico-financeiros relacionados à saúde do município. Conclusão: Conclui-se pela necessidade de fortalecimento da cultura participativa no Conselho Municipal de Saúde estudado, destacando-se a necessidade de divulgação das ações desenvolvidas e reformulação da lógica tecnoburocrática predominante neste ambiente.


Abstract Background: Studies on social participation point out some limitations in participatory architecture. For this reason, the World Health Organization designed a model with key components for bringing civil society and governments closer together. Objectives: This study aimed to identify the aspects that influence participation based on the components proposed by the World Health Organization. Methodology: This case study used a qualitative and cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through document analysis, non-participant observation, and semi-structured interviews in 2020 and 2021 with the municipal health council members of an inland city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Results: Weaknesses were observed in the council's institutional structure, such as excessive bureaucracy, lack of user representativeness, and council members' insecurity regarding the municipality's health-related economic-financial issues. Conclusion: There is a need to strengthen the culture of participation in this municipal health council, disseminate the activities developed, and reformulate the technical-bureaucratic dynamics that predominate in this environment.


Resumen Marco contextual: Los estudios sobre participación social señalan algunas limitaciones en la arquitectura participativa, por lo que la Organización Mundial de la Salud ha diseñado un modelo que hace hincapié en las dimensiones constitutivas para acercar a la sociedad civil y a los gobiernos. Objetivos: El estudio pretendía identificar los elementos que influyen en la participación en función de las dimensiones propuestas por la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Metodología: Se trata de un estudio de caso, con un enfoque cualitativo y transversal, que se llevó a cabo mediante el análisis documental, la observación no participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas en los años 2020 y 2021 con los consejeros del CMS de una ciudad brasileña del interior del estado de São Paulo. Resultados: Se observaron deficiencias en las arquitecturas institucionales del consejo estudiado, tales como la excesiva burocracia, la falta de representatividad de los usuarios, la inseguridad de los consejeros en los asuntos económicos y financieros relacionados con la salud del municipio. Conclusión: Se sugiere la necesidad de fortalecer la cultura participativa en el consejo municipal de salud estudiado, sobre todo la necesidad de difundir las acciones desarrolladas y reformular la lógica tecnoburocrática predominante en este entorno.

Introducción: Experiencia de una comunidad de barrio capitalino (Asunción-Paraguay), movilizada por la grabación de un corto documental a cargo de estudiantes de cinematografía, que inician un proceso de participación para mejorar la calidad de vida de una persona con trastornos mentales y discapacidad psicosocial en situación de calle, logrando su inclusión social. Objetivo : Identificar los elementos claves que favorecieron la participación comunitaria, derivando en el proceso de reinserción social de una persona con trastorno mental y discapacidad psicosocial para contribuir con estrategias innovadoras de modelos de atención basados en la comunidad con enfoque de derechos humanos. Materiales y métodos: Estudio cualitativo de diseño narrativo, utilizando datos de la historia de una persona y la experiencia de una comunidad para describir, analizar e identificar elementos que se consideran claves para los resultados logrados. La experiencia comunitaria fue observada y registrada de cerca durante más de 4 años. Resultado: Participación comunitaria activa en torno a un objetivo colectivo impulsado por un proyecto cinematográfico logrando la reinserción social de una persona con trastorno mental o discapacidad psicosocial que se encontraba en situación de calle. Conclusión : El cine o arte generan un impacto emocional y sensibilizador que acompañados con estrategias sostenibles; facilitación, tecnología, recursos económicos, lugares de residencia o acogida, acompañamiento; permiten aprovechar y movilizar recursos comunitarios, con participación y enfoque de derechos humanos. El resultado en este caso es la inclusión social de una persona con trastornos mentales y discapacidad psicosocial, que se encontraba en el extremo de exclusión social: vida en calle por más de 20 años.


Introduction : Experience of a community from a neighborhood of the Capital City (Asunción-Paraguay), mobilized by the recording of a Short Documentary by cinematography students, who begin a process of participation to improve the quality of life of a person with mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities who are homeless, achieving their social inclusion. Objective : Identify the key elements that allowed community participation and the social reintegration process of a person with a mental disorder or psychosocial disability to contribute with innovative strategies of community-based care models with a human rights approach. Materials and Methods : A qualitative type study of narrative design, using data from a person's story and the experience of a community to describe, analyze and identify the key elements to the results achieved. The community experience was closely observed and recorded for more than 4 years. Results : active community participation around a collective objective driven by a film project, achieving the reintegration and social rehabilitation of a person with mental disorder who was in street situation. Conclusion : Cinema or art generates an emotional and sensitizing impact that, accompanied by sustainable strategies; facilitation, technology, economic resources, places of residence or reception, support; allows taking advantage of and mobilizing community resources, with participation and a human rights approach. The result in this case is the social inclusion of a person with mental disorders or psychosocial disabilities who was at the extreme of social exclusion; street life for more than 20 years.

Conocer la historia, como en cualquier ámbito de la vida, es necesario para saber no sólo de dónde venimos sino comprender el porqué de la actualidad. También nos sirve de guía, como proyección hacia un futuro mucho mejor para nuestra profesión y, por ende, para las personas que podamos encontrar en el camino. Gracias a dicha historia, desde el COPTOA planteamos una necesidad de hablar de la terapia ocupacional a otros profesionales, a posibles beneficiarios, a los gestores de salud, educación o servicios sociales. O como dice el lema de este año de la Federación Mundial de Terapeutas Ocupacionales “Unidad a través de la comunidad”.(AU)


Knowing history, as in any area of life, is necessary to know not only where we come from but to understand why we are today. It also serves as a guide for us, as a projection towards a much better future for our profession and, therefore, for the people we may meet along the way. Thanks to this history, at COPTOA we raise the need to talk about occupational therapy to other professionals, to possible beneficiaries, to health, education or social services managers. Background: Previous studies have demonstrated the high prevalence of dissociative symptoms and their association with considerable healthcare costs. However, there is a lack of studies that describe whether dissociative symptoms persist and lead to other clinical outcomes over time in the community.Objectives: This study investigated the persistence, predictors, and consequences of dissociative symptoms in the community.Methods: We analyzed longitudinal data in a sample of community health service users in Hong Kong (N = 173).Results: A relatively high proportion (63.6%) of participants with baseline dissociative symptoms continued to exhibit dissociative symptoms after approximately 9 months. Baseline non-betrayal trauma predicted subsequent dissociative symptoms (ß = .141, p = .024). Participants with baseline dissociative symptoms were more likely to have received subsequent emergency mental health services (9.1% vs 0.7%, p = .005). Baseline dissociative symptoms significantly predicted subsequent post-traumatic symptoms (ß = .165 to .191, p < .05) and difficulty in social and occupational participation (ß = -.152 to -.182, p < .05) even after controlling for baseline scores, trauma exposure, and use of professional support. The predictive role of dissociative symptoms on subsequent disturbances in self-organization symptoms and social participation difficulty remained significant after applying the Bonferroni correction.Conclusions: This is one of the very few studies showing that dissociative symptoms are persistent to a certain degree and could predict other symptoms and subsequent impairments even in community settings. Factors that affect the trajectory of dissociative symptoms should be further investigated. Regular screening for dissociative symptoms is recommended. Considering its prevalence, persistence, and clinical and social consequences, dissociation should be given greater public health attention.
